DESCRIPTION

Some lamps illuminate a room. This one illuminates and transforms it.

There's a difference between switching on a light and placing a sculpture that gives light.

This 1950s table lamp is exactly that: a female figure in gilded bronze—a dancer with one foot raised and an arm lifted holding the stem—cast with the detail that post-war Spanish and French artisanal production still allowed. The circular bronze base features a continuous floral relief. The plinth is turned wood lacquered in burgundy red with a gilded molding. And the shade is a pleated conical cream fabric shade with two rows of multicolored faceted glass beads—green, amber, clear—which, when light passes through the ensemble, turns any corner into something worth looking at.

With a total height of 50 cm and a base diameter of 15 cm, it fits on a bedside table, a hallway console, a desk end, or any surface that needs a light source with character. It doesn't provide the task lighting of a desk lamp. It provides the light of nine in the evening when there's nothing left to do.

Original braided brown cable with barrel switch. Revised and functional.

No two are alike. No restocking.

── WHAT WE LOVE MOST ABOUT THIS PIECE ──

→ The bronze figure: a dancer in motion, with her arm raised and a resolute posture. It's not a neutral decorative object. It has presence and attitude, and it's noticeable from across the room.

→ The glass beads on the shade: faceted, in green, amber, and clear colors, hanging in two rows. When the lamp is on, they project small flashes of color onto the walls. An effect that isn't designed: it's discovered.

→ The burgundy plinth with gilded molding: the color detail that makes the lamp not just golden but gives it an intentional chromatic composition. The burgundy anchors the piece, the gold elevates it.

── REVISED IN OUR WORKSHOP IN NAVALCARNERO, MADRID ──

The electrical installation has been thoroughly checked: cable, lamp holder, and switch. The piece is safe and ready to use. The bronze figure and wooden plinth are in good condition with the typical patina of the 1950s.

It arrives ready to take its place.

Preguntas frecuentes
