What dimensions should an antique desk have for daily use?

The historical standard height, 74–78 cm, matches current ergonomics. Check the free space for legs (minimum 60 cm wide and 55 cm deep) and ensure the top is at least 100 cm wide if you work with a screen and documents simultaneously.

What is the difference between a bureau and a secretaire?

A bureau is a desk with a flap or roll-top that closes the work surface; a secretaire is a vertical piece of furniture with an integrated drop-front desk above drawers or a display cabinet. Both allow you to close off your work from view, something no modern open desk can do.

How is it delivered?

Delivery and placement in your office by store staff. Each piece is unique: it is restored, published, and once sold, it leaves the catalog forever.

Do you make custom furniture?

We do not make custom furniture.

I have an old piece of furniture that I want to restore. Would you restore it for me?

Due to the high demand for work, we only carry out furniture restorations for clients who have previously purchased one of our pieces.

How long will it take to receive my order?

All our items are in stock and therefore available for shipment. You will receive it in 7-14 business days.

Is the delivery service inside the house or at the street door?

The delivery service is inside the home as long as there are no architectural problems that prevent access to the purchased piece. Consult our shipping conditions HERE
