Some furniture works at night. The lamp, the half-read book, the glasses, the glass of water: all these things need a place, and not just any place.

This two-tiered bedside table is a vintage piece from the second half of the 20th century, in the Louis XVI style. You can recognize it by its fluted and tapered legs, the same silhouette that has defined the style for over two centuries.

It is lacquered in matte black, with the upper tray suspended on two uprights and an elegant curved arm. Below the main top, a drawer opens with a golden brass pull. The proportions of an authentic Louis XVI leg are not mass-produced.

It measures 48.2 cm wide, 41.2 cm deep, and 77 cm high —taller than a regular bedside table—, ideal next to a high bed, a sofa, or a reading armchair. The top tray for the lamp; the bottom one for what you are reading.

── RESTORED IN OUR WORKSHOP IN NAVALCARNERO, MADRID ──

We have checked the structure and all four legs, ensured that the drawer slides smoothly, and prepared the wood before hand-lacquering it in matte black. The brass pull has been cleaned and reattached.

The bedside table is sturdy, with a functional drawer and uniform lacquer, free of chips. It arrives ready to take its place.
