DESCRIPTION

What you choose to display behind glass says a lot about a home. It's not storage; it's a statement.

This vintage solid wood display cabinet was built in the first half of the 20th century, when a glazed cabinet was made with frame and panel, strong joints, and glass fitted piece by piece. You can tell by how the doors close: with the security of quality craftsmanship.

Both doors retain their openwork brass plates, with that fine lattice work that no modern factory reproduces with this skill, and their lock with a key. We hand-painted the interior in our workshop with a soft bluish-white that allows the wood grain to show through: a light background that illuminates everything on display.

At 128 cm wide, 47 cm deep, and 206 cm high, it has presence without monopolizing space. In a living room, it organizes your fine china; in a dining room, your crystalware; in an office or entryway, books and objects worth seeing.

No two are alike. There will be no restocking.

── WHAT WE LOVE MOST ABOUT THIS PIECE ──

→ The openwork brass plates along the edges of the doors: a delicate lattice, nailed piece by piece, that no one mass-produces today. They are the signature of this display cabinet's era.

→ The tone the wood has gained over the decades: a warm, deep chestnut that no stain can replicate. Only time.

→ The bluish-white interior, hand-painted in our workshop, turns each shelf into a display background: whatever you put inside looks better.

── RESTORED IN OUR WORKSHOP IN NAVALCARNERO, MADRID ──

We checked the entire structure, adjusted the plumb of the doors, and reinforced the joints where needed. We prepared the surface by hand and painted the interior in bluish-white, a finish applied in the workshop that we always disclose: the exterior retains its visible wood.

The structure is sturdy, the doors close with their key, and the shelves are ready to bear weight. It arrives ready to take its place.

A piece selected and restored by Antique Arte y Decoración — specializing since 2015 in antique furniture, with its own workshop in Navalcarnero and over 3,500 families served throughout Spain.
