DESCRIPTION

The architectural design of the piece is inspired by the straight, proportionate lines of Neoclassicism and Empire style. The main structure is flanked by two plain pilasters that frame the central body. At the top, on either side of the drawer, two carved medallions with classical motifs (possibly lyres or stylized volutes) stand out, providing a subtle but effective sculptural relief.

The restoration work is the true highlight. A matte black finish has been applied with a distressing technique on the edges, moldings, and reliefs. This process reveals underlying layers in warm and golden tones, creating a natural wear effect that simulates the passage of time and adds visual depth to the piece. A fine golden fillet underlines the transition between the drawer and the shelves, adding a touch of contained luxury.
