Aged Gilt: The entire piece boasts an exquisite gilt finish (gold leaf/lacquer). The passage of time has created a deep dark patina in the recesses of the carving, accentuating its relief and giving it the charm of grand antiques.

Empire Style Details: The lamp sits on a square base that rests on four imposing gilt bronze lion-paw feet, an unmistakable feature of Empire style elegance.

Haute Couture Lampshade: It is crowned with a spectacular pagoda or Victorian style lampshade. Crafted from damask fabric with floral motifs, it is elegantly finished with trim and a romantic fringe that wonderfully diffuses the light.
