A dining room without chairs with character is just a table waiting. These six have been occupying their place for decades with the same conviction.

Set of six Castilian chairs from the second half of the 20th century, in the popular Spanish style that draws directly from the Baroque: high back with openwork crossbars, turned spindles, and ball finials. The type of chair that for centuries presided over country houses, manor dining rooms, and living rooms that knew what they had. No current factory reproduces this level of turned and openwork craftsmanship at this price — solid wood of this quality comes directly from time, not from a catalog.

Each chair has four horizontal openwork crossbars with interwoven arch and diamond motifs, flanked by turned spindles with a top ball finial. The seat is upholstered in toasted beige faux leather with a perimeter metal stud trim. The lower structure has a multiple turned stretcher in all four directions, which provides solidity and maintains the visual unity of the set.

Each chair measures 48 cm wide × 44 cm deep × 121.5 cm high. There are six identical units, sold as a complete set. They fit around a table up to 180 cm long.

No two sets are alike. There will be no replenishment.

→ The saw-cut openwork crossbars with arch and diamond motifs. This is a craft that unequivocally identifies popular Castilian cabinetmaking and that no current manufacturer recovers in mass production. The openwork shows the wood from the inside: each piece is distinct in grain.

→ The perimeter stud trim of the seat. A detail of traditional upholstery that adds precision and finish to a set that already has enough presence on its own.

The set was structurally reviewed piece by piece. Joints and connections were checked and reinforced where necessary. The turned spindles and openwork crossbars are in good condition. The seat upholstery shows natural wear from use and age.

The six chairs are in proper working condition. The structure is solid. They arrive ready to take their place.
